WHAT IS A HOUSE SHOW?

• A house show is a small, intimate, live music concert hosted in a private space. House shows can be hosted in open living rooms, basements, studios, outdoor patios, churches, cafes, art galleries, coffee shops, plant nurseries, community spaces etc. The options are endless. Hosting/attending a house show is an incredible way to experience live music in it's original, acoustic form- the way it was written without all the fluff. It is also a beautiful opportunity to get to know the artist on a personal level, and get an inside look at their creative process. The host will spread the word to close friends, family, & community, and fill the space with the people they feel the most comfortable with. Together, we will connect, socialize, and fellowship through music & story. Each house show is a unique, warm, and inviting experience that will undoubtedly leave it's mark.

Who is eligible to host?

• Anyone with the appropriate space can host. The ideal space usually accommodates between 20-50 people. Some spaces are equip to accommodate more. Some spaces are more exclusive. The goal is for the show to remain intimate and personal, yet making it available and accessible to your friends, family, and community.
   
• PRO TIP: * Hosting an intimate show at your place of business can be a great way to bring live music to your venue for newfound connection & exposure *  
   

WHAT TO EXPECT

• On the night of the show, guests will arrive promptly & expectantly. ALL sound equipment will be provided by the artist (me) & will be set up in your designated space prior to showtime. The concert will last around 90 minutes, and will be intimate & introspective. The show will consist of original music from my personal songwriting catalog with familiar covers woven tastefully into the set. You will learn the stories behind the songs, and will have access to limited edition merchandise, Q&A opportunity, fellowship, & so much more.  
   

What Does It Cost?

• Hosting a house show is COMPLETELY FREE. Some hosts like to provide food and beverages for their guests, however, this is completely optional. The goal is to facilitate a creative experience without the burden of expense. All house shows are DONATION-BASED, meaning it is up to the audience to donate to the artist if they feel inspired to do so. Some hosts like to charge a $20 entry fee to ensure the artist leaves with ample compensation. Other hosts leave the ceiling wide open, and prefer not to put a cap on the donation opportunity. On occasion,  hosts prefer not to make financial requests, & will donate a flat fee directly to the artist to honor their contribution. You are free to choose the option that suits you best. * If the artist is required to travel long distance for the show, the host may be prompted to accommodate expenses for travel. * 
   

ACCOMMODATIONS

• Traditionally, the artist stays with (or nearby) the host of the show. If you are hosting a house show, it is GREATLY appreciated if you are willing to host the artist for the duration of their stay. This minimizes travel costs, and makes for an easy set up.
